Action Plans target all emails, including contact relationships πŸ“© πŸ‘₯

Now you can make more connections and keep everyone in the loop with your Action Plan emails by sending them to both your primary contacts and their contact relationships.

To send Action Plan emails to all email addresses, select the "Include all email addresses" box within the Action Plan editor. With this selected, any of the Action Plan's email steps will send emails to all primary and relationship email addresses of the contact.

This update also improves how the %contact_first_name% merge field works. Now the merge field automatically detects when you’re sending an email to multiple related contacts, and it includes the first name of each person in line. Please note that in order for the system to detect the names needed you must first select the contact relationship emails as shown below before selecting a template.

If an Action Plan is set to include all email addresses, you’ll see the icon pictured below when selecting an Action Plan:

Contact relationships is still an early release, so we’re continuing work to polish it up and add more functionality and features to it over time. Some of the top future improvements on our contact relationships radar include mailing labels and birthday support.

If you notice any important functionality that you’d like to see with contact relationships, let us know by submitting your idea to the Roadmap. And for more details and FAQs on contact relationships, check out our help article here.
