Keep your contacts more organized with improved tag management

We just released some big updates to the tags screen that help keep your tags tidy:

New and improved tags table: Gone is the old cloud of tag pills that sometimes took awhile to load. In comes an organized, fully sortable table that displays all your tags instantly, no matter how many you have.

Mass select and mass delete tags (admins only): Sometimes having too many tags made customers feel disorganized, so we wanted to make it easier to clean them up when needed. You can now select multiple tags to delete at once. You can also shift+click to select multiple tags faster (same functionality as the People screen).

Tagging your contacts helps you segment your contacts into separate categories, so you can tailor your follow up to specific groups of contacts based on their criteria, like their location or interest level.

Here are some more details on how the new tags table works:

  1. Dynamic tag count, which updates as more tags are loaded, or as tags are filtered/searched.
  2. Improved/live search: You can search tags even as more load, and the table will keep the search filter and sort order appropriately.
  3. The "Name" column is sortable alphabetically, from A to Z, or Z to A.
  4. The "Used" column is sortable numerically. You can sort your tags by the number of contacts associated with each tag.
  5. The “Actions” column gives you edit and delete buttons (for admins/account owners only).
  6. Linked counts: Clicking the tag count will take you to a filtered view of the People screen, showing only the contacts who have that particular tag.

We also added an option to search by pre-defined search filters. So for example, if you're looking for all your ZIP code tags, you can type "~zip" in the search bar to show those. Typing a "~" in the search bar loads a dropdown list of pre-defined search filters. Currently supported filters are ZIP codes (U.S. and Canadian ZIPs or postal codes), dates (multiple formats including European-style date formats), and number.

The new tags screen simplifies contact organization, allowing for more targeted communication and effective client management. These updates are live in your FUB account today, so take a look and let us know what you think!
